School for Urban Planning and Architecture
Stay tuned for more information about the aquaponics system SUPAR students built and are maintaining at the school. Big thanks to Sixteenth Street Community Health Center and Celeste Verhelst and friends for making this project a reality. Thanks also to Growing Power for inspiration, technical advice, watercress, and red wiggler worms for composting food into fertilizer.
On May 21, SUPAR students presented a working scale model of SUPAR's aquaponic system at the Great Lakes Constructionist Consortium exhibition, "“Many Faces of Constructivism,” held at the Milwaukee Public Museum. The SUPAR aquaponics display and outstanding explanations took top honors in the judging of the displays. Yea team!
Jalisa Bivens prepared this set answers to Frequently Asked Questions about the Aquaponics system.
